Wow, it was one of those busy photography weeks. Lots of stuff to get done and out the door.
First up was Upward Soccer, this was my first time shooting the Mandarin Methodist Upward Soccer Team photos and I really wanted to make sure everything went smoothly since I knew they had had issues with previous photographers. I learned so much the first time around shooting their basketball team photos and I tried to make sure I applied all of it to my workflow this time around.
The response from parents has been great, and right away I had emails asking how tp get additional prints on top of their first order!
After those were delivered I had just a few days to work with inventoring my cards and backing up and dealing with file management before heading into the weekend.
Then it was Prom Night In Jacksonville
Saturday night I had the best time shooting a great group of teenagers from Mandarin High School's Cross Country team as they prepared to go their first prom! There were six couples, only one of which was really a "couple" so the trick was to find that right balance of couple shot and without all the "we're in love" part.
I scoured Pinterst for inspiration all week and kept a sharp eye out for where they is this prom or this wedding line gets drawn. In the end I loved the way they all turned out. I edited just few for the parents right then and there and then saved the rest to do on Sunday. I sent everyone their links last night and have been releasing out the fun ones over Instagram for the kids during the day today since I know they are at school and everyone is checking out each other's pics.
After all that there was finally time to start editing my girls first triathlon of the season, which they had last weekend. Don't even ask me about last weekend it was a blur of triathlons and lacrosse and sleep.
Focus for this week is all the boring stuff.. blah accounting. I need to get all the money and reporting taken care of and make things look like a business around here.
Tomorrow we get to talk about Prom!
